Maintenance
12th March: WiFi maintenance works

On 12th March at 4am Information & Digital Services will be patching our Wi-Fi network. This work is being carried out to secure and upgrade the Wi-Fi network. 

Work will be carried out to WiFi on campus and at Keele in Town. During this time you might notice some performance degradation but it will not be a full outage. Information & Digital Services apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Managed Desktops Managed Desktop Login Issues

We are receiving reports that some users are unable to login to their managed desktops and see a black screen with white cursor.

We are currently investigating this issue and will provide an update as soon as more information is available.

  • We have now identified and resolved this issue. Some computers were unable to boot to their operating system due to a configuration change made within one of our management systems. This change has been rolled back and computers have now started to boot correctly.

    If your computer is still showing a black screen, please restart it before contacting the IT Service Desk for further assistance.
